Who we are

So Bam Fun teaches American Mahjong through private lessons, corporate events and public pop-ups and events in 10+ U.S. cities. You can reach us any time at hello@sobamfun.com.

Information we collect

We only collect what you give us directly, or what’s needed to run the site:

• Contact, lesson and event inquiries. The forms on /contact, /private-lessons and /corporate-events collect your name, email, city and state, and whatever you write in the message field. These forms are hosted by HubSpot.
• Email updates. The Newsletter link in our footer goes to a HubSpot-hosted signup page that collects your name, email address, city and state, so we can tell you about events near you.
• Event ticket purchases. When you register or buy tickets for a public pop-up, beginner lesson, or open-play event through tickets.sobamfun.com, that purchase is processed by Eventcube, our ticketing provider, under their own privacy policy. We receive your name, email and order details so we can prepare for your event. (Private lessons, bachelorette parties and corporate events are booked through our inquiry forms instead, described above.)
• Site usage. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use sobamfun.com — pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type — via cookies and similar technology. If we run online advertising (for example, Google Ads), those services may also set cookies.

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry and schedule lessons or events
• To email you about upcoming events and lessons, only if you signed up for those updates
• To understand and improve how the site and our booking flow work
• To keep basic business and safety records

Who we share it with

We do not sell or share your personal information, as those terms are defined under California law, and we don’t give it to anyone for their own marketing. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the business: HubSpot (forms and email), Eventcube (event ticketing and payment), and Google (analytics). Each of those providers processes data under their own privacy policy.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to recognize repeat visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on; the site will still work without them.

Your choices

Every update email has an unsubscribe link. To access, correct or delete the information you’ve given us through a form, email hello@sobamfun.com and we’ll take care of it. If you’re a California resident, or live somewhere else with its own privacy law, you may have additional rights over your information — email us and we’ll honor reasonable requests.

Children

So Bam Fun’s lessons and events are for a general, adult-and-family audience, and the site isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry, booking and payment-related records for as long as we need them to run your lesson or event and for business, tax and legal record-keeping. You can ask us to delete your information at any time at hello@sobamfun.com, and we’ll do so unless we’re required to keep it.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes, we’ll update this page and change the effective date above.
